"Versus"

Versus (Latin: against, and often written in Italics) is used in legal and general language to mean "against" or "opposed to", as in "John Doe versus Richard Roe", and is often abbreviated to v. (with the punctuation point) or vs (without the point).

well, im sure the meaning of the word does not confine itself to just the legal system. Im sure most of us, well those of you who are in the same generation as me has come in contact with the spawing if fighting games- Street Fighter series, King of Fighters, Tekken just to name the few.

The use of the word "versus" is not uncommon in the context constructed above. in fact, Those are rather common.

But the word "Versus" used as a song title then, its quite unorthodox until recently. with the new musicians dubbed "DJ"s, many artistic creations whose creators improvised on other DJ's songs to create a new breed of music, and it's title often contains the word "Versus".

Darude Vs Tiesto etc..you get the drift...

The "defendant's" songs are often challeneged by the "appelant", where the beat would be changed half way through the song, or the bass... or some elements within the song, even the message of the song all fall as potential prey to the challenger

Some of the songs are alright...but some are just plain absurd. oh well, Theres no better way to express this absurdity than to show IT to you.

for example,

"..dance-to-the-cocaine-lsd-ecstacy, dance-to-the-cocaine follow me-dance with me, dance with the cocaine-lsd-ecstacy-dance to the cocaineDONT-DO-DRUUUUUUUUUGSSSSSSS...."

My generation ..
