Life Debt

I Selfishly Borrowed A Life,
With It, I didnt put to good use,
but I continue to strive,
So i am not accused.

I Didnt try Hard to Achieve,
Your goals for me Ive Dismissed,
Replaced with a vision I concieved,
But its Execution is always Amiss.

Despite my Rampant Defiance,
I know of what i owe,
I cant promise unquestioned Obedience
But the Seeds of Loyalty ive already Sowed.

To you whom I Show my Gratitude,
For there is no Substitute,
To the one whom i owe my Dignity.
To the one whom i owe for her mercy.

To The One who Loves me,
and undoubted I for thee,
Through the love like no other-
The Love of Heavenly Maternity.

Years back when Er Jie won the Mother's Day Poem competition, I received the honour. But I know it does not mean than I am greater mother than any other mothers. I recieved the honour coz I have a great daughther not because I (the mother)am great. All mothers are great mothers.

During the previous Friday's sharing of message, I proudly announced I have a perfect daughter- Da Jie but shy to say my mother was not so blessed to have such a good daughter like mine.

Now I received your poem. I am the most loved and blessed person by Divine to have all the good children coming to this world through me.

You do not owe me any debt, You merely come to the world through me to teach and to learn the truth of life with me.

I bore the guilt for many many years after my mom's death because being such a disobedient, defiant daughter, I undoubtedly receives all my mom's love. Christopher Moon rit me of the guilt and burden and told me your mother is giving you unconditional love. She loves you and she is happy to do that not for any other reason.

You came and I tried hard to practise what my mom has taught me the unconditional love but I still doubt if I am right Or am I spoiling a child ?

You answer and ensure what my mother has taught me "love is unconditional and love is the solution to all" is truth.

What more should I asked for.

To my children M,Q,W and J, be immersed in love, fly, soar as high as you can, you derserve all the good things in the world.

this is the 2nd time i'm writing a comment for ur entry, unfortunately the server was down for a very long while n my comment got stuck somewhere inbetween.

this might not sound as heartfelt as wat it should be, but i'll have another go.

GOOD POEM, bro.. i tot it felt really real, not dat ur other ones don't, but it's somethin we all feel inside? i know i don't have the skills to write good stuff like u n er jie, so i try to make it up in other ways.

i still remember er jie winning dat competition mum talked about, but i don't think it's a poem comp, it was like a.. complete-the-sentence-in-25-words-or-less competition. er jie did it in a breeze, it was so easy for her, i wonder y i couldn't do it? haha.

geez, i feel.. there are a lot of feelings inside me dat i cannot express very well, especially after mum said about the announcement, which i wasn't around to enjoy. i'm making it up by goin to bhajan tonight (it's fri), and continue with watever i do.

i'm proud n happy to say dat i've never felt so much love in our family, we're becoming more and more of an entity, just ONE.

let's strive together being better children to the man and woman who gave us life and love!!

**hugz to dad, mum, mq n wz**
