F***ing Splinter

The day is Friday, 7th January. I was in midvalley walking alone..reloading my phone credit, i wanted to go to the toilet to do it but i guess it was ok, i can do it while i walk there, BIG mistake.I was approached by 2 chinese people...one male, the other female. They claimned that they've just arrived im kl from Shang-hai. The male was about 167cm tall, he looked abit like my old friend "Chia Teng Xi" (no offence but this is true) he had short hair, dyed-golden,its also badly damaged and dry,his face a little tanned and you can tell that pimples had once battled for supremacy on the surface of his skin.. He wore a white t-shirt with some patterns in it but i couldnt recall..he carried a back pack. his hands was clapsed around a phone. The female, also dyed her hair gold. the lenght was untill her shoulders. Black roots are starting to show. her face has a rather fair complexion with blushes all over her cheeks. a very typical chinese look. she is about 164cm tall. she too had a backpack and also wore jeans.

Their story was, they had run out of ringgit and USD and their atm cards are not working, they presented their cards to me, they need to call back shang-hai to ask for help, so would i mind lending my phone to them to make a call? i had a tingling sense that this wasnt good, but i played along since they couldnt run or hit me or anything, (we were in MV south court). so i did, i handed my hpone over, he made a call to China, and i too, talked to the person on the other side, she told me thanks and would wanna treat me for lunch or something...(wtf). later he handed ,e the phone back. and we were engaged in a short conversation, about China and malaysian stuff..he gave me his icq number and phone number in china. The girl did the same thing. I in return gave them my email. then they said the father had contacts here in kl, in klcc. they would have to go to klcc to meet up with this bigshot, so he can hand over some cash to help them.i showed them the way to the taxi stand which later on i felt stupid doing so, coz if they didnt know where the taxi stand is, how did they come here? anyway, we started talking alot, about how to solve their problem coz klcc is so big, and they didnt say when or where to meet, the guy suggested he would take my phone, replace it with his simcard and wait for the bigshot to call,to make himself sounds trustworthy, he also suggested thta i keep his phone so taht later he can come bnack and make an exchange again. I disagreed, i couldnt trust them, but i didnt say that, i just said there must be a better way of doing it. they kept saying something in chinese which the meaning i cant really grasp. i suggested alot of ideas but they would say either i dont understand their situation or something. i was really pissed wanted to walk away but i didnt. (which i later regreted). we kept switching sim cards on my phone, and i used the girls number, to call my cousin, it worked but the number didnt register in his phone. later on i asked them for their passports and ic, they showed it to me, i said, "i will keep your phone AND identification card until you get back here and return my phone." they again told me about how big the trouble they are already in and if i lose their ic they would be in even greater trouble and cock and bull. i didnt know WHY THE SHIT I BOUGHT THEIR F***** STORY, (this thing really happened in a LONG period of time, about 45 mins).

At the end, i agreed, since they could show me their IC and bank card, i think they are really in need of help. so he handed me his phone. I handed in mine. he said, "dont scratch it" just before he left. I dont know what came over me, i saw them board a cab, but i didnt know where they were headed? i saw them leave, then i held the phone on my hands..im like f***. ive been conned. it was a dummy phone.

PLEASE I beg you all, DONT BE a DUMB ASS like ME, THINK AND THINK AND THINK dont let sympathy overcome you, kindness alone is blind, you will have to give it eyes to see! I lodged a report to the security and guards in mv...i gave them their description, they told me what happened before i could tell them. this is something that has been going on for a long time now, most of the victims are chinese, and often right after they expose their phones, that these f***ers home in to make the kill. DONT be the victim. if anyone approaches you and asks for anything other than direction, point him/her a middle finger and say go look for someone else to rob. or you can just pretend you dont know chinese or the language they are speaking, then very quietly go look for a security guard, and say there maybe a phone stealing syndicate around, point them out. let the guards do the rest... true kindbess is when you help prevent the phones of others from being stolen.

here are a few precautions:
-Dont walk alone, i was and i was chosen to be a victim, it is harder for them to hit alot of targets, easier if you are just one.
-Try to keep your phones in your pockets, unless its a call or something, and if right after you make a call or have exposed your phone and someone aproached you for help, theres a 98% probability that this person is a robber.
-Always call for extra help, INSIST that they go seek the information counter or PROFESSIONAL help, you, are NEITHER, you got that on top?!
-and last, if you dont have any important things to do, stay at home or something. Dont go wander around.
these are all my mistakes,and has led me to my loss of property, a good 1600bucks.
