The Sweetest, Bitterest Thing

Under the console people danced en masse, to the beat of the bass and to the swirl of the lights. The crystal ball casts the room with golden and silver glitters, and on the people’s faces, it looked like galaxies carrying millions of stars.but one star stood out.
There she stood, there she danced. With the grace of a thousand waterfalls and the force of even more.
To my ears, the room fell silent. And all i could hear was her movements, in the twilight.
It scared me, when hundreds of people vanish into the night air, loud music faded into the background.
There she stood, there she danced.
Her visage, her face, i’d betray my entire race just for another look, just for another listen.
Her eyes so powerful, even light cannot escape. Hence i cannot tell you the colour.
White blouse and ivory heels, she was made of all things exotic.
I lay defeated- there is a God, for only a million beings with a million wisdom could possibly envision her visage, and then create it.
There I stood, there I wondered.

A Toast to Failure

Heres to "You never know what you've got until you've lost it" - "You never know you've said 'You never know what you've got until you've lost it' until you've said it".
